Web Design

A Web browser is designed to pick up and retrieve codes which are normally written in HTML from a web server these then get streamed to our web browsers where we are able to pick them up as a website. A web browser is an easier way for us to search through the internet and pick up different websites due to them searching for us. A web browser picks up its different possibilities using things such as tags, these search for spesific words.
Along side HTML there are many different common coding web languages these are, CSS and XHTML. XHTML is used as it allows you to put your website onto many other different web platforms for example changing it into a phone App. XHTML is also a much stricter version of HTML and is also said to be "more tidy" than using HTML. The other type of common coding is CSS - Cascading Style Sheet. Css is used to add final features to the website and make it what it is. CSS edits things such as the size, colour and alignment. CSS is basically the coding which makes the website have life and look "nice".
Web coding protocols are another import part of any website. Hyperlinks is one of the most common noticible  thing within a website, we use hyperlinks to direct to different pages such as "Click here to see___" without hyperlinks we wouldn't be able to link anything on a website. Another important protocol is meta tags. A internet user isn't able to see them although meta tags are important as they get sent to something such as google and help to get your website more likely to be visited. When using Meta tags it's good to do something such as mispelling as it means the browser is more likely to pick up on your website.
A "WYSIWYG" software means that you are able to edit the website on the page, basically meaning that if dragged a image into the middle of your website then when it goes live it will actually be like that. These types of software don't require users to do their own coding although there is an option to do this if you want.
A typical structure of a HTML coded page is a head which gives your web page a title, a body where all your content and codes will go. "Nesting" tags basically means putting your code in brackets.

There are a few different ways to promote your website although most importantly you would use S.E.O or S.M.O - S.M.O (Social Media Optimization) is getting your website advertised on a "social" website for example on facebook or on youtube. These are the best ways to get your website noticed as they are more likely to get noticed or visited than those who are advertised in other ways. Another major form of S.M.O is word of mouth this is also one of the best ways as you're more likely to do something if your friend or family member tells you about it. S.E.O on the other hand (search engine optimization) this is a way of improving the chances of your website being visitied and helps to make it become one of the top answers. The best way to do this is by using mis-spells and using key words that would be picked up on relationg to the subject for example; Fanbased website - All about YM@6.
